Greetings!
Looking ahead to our 25th anniversary
The
Trust was formed back in 2001 and we’re looking at ways to celebrate
our 25th anniversary next year. If anyone has any ideas, please let us
know by emailing admin@gcafcsupporters.co.uk or chatting to one of our
board members at a game.
Promoting the Trust
Despite
these regular emails sent to members and posted on our website and
social media, some fans still remain in the dark about what we do.
(You can help enlighten them by sharing our social media posts!)
One
suggestion was to take the Trust outside the football club and into the
city centre – a move that would boost the profile both of us and the
club.
I’m going to look at the cost of buying a gazebo we can use to promote the work we do at events around the city and county.
Toilet heaters
Following
complaints from fans, and the recent cold snap which resulted in burst
pipes and taps, it was agreed we would look at buying heaters for the
toilets in the ground. Nothing has been agreed yet, but if you have a
strong view either way, then please let me know.
Cash draw
As
you’ll know, we raise money each home game for the Trust by selling
cash draw tickets. Half the takings go to us, half go to the winner.
The
results are always announced over the tannoy at half time and from the
next home game they will be displayed in the club shop too, so you can
call in on your way home to check if you’re the lucky winner. If you
are, you can collect your winnings from the shop (and maybe spend them
there too!).
As always, if you would like to
get involved, please get in touch. We’re all volunteers and welcome new
ideas, new ways of doing things.
Come on City!
