Mike Dunstan Memorial Match

UPDATED 16 July 2023

A huge thank you to those who came to support the Mike Dunstan Memorial Match and raise money for AMMF at the TigerTurf Stadium yesterday. Congratulations especially to the fans and City Legends who braved hail and wind to play! Particular thanks to Mike's family for joining us at the game and presenting the trophy at the end of the game - it was lovely to be able to welcome you back and to let you know how much Mike meant to all of us at Gloucester City. We'll update on the final amount raised in due course but it was a very worthwhile occasion.

Mike, who sadly passed away aged 58 last year, was a lifelong supporter and former Club and Trust Chairman who was deeply loved and respected within the club and by all who knew him. His contribution to the club throughout decades of volunteering was immense, and we are pleased to be donating all proceeds from the event to the AMMF - the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity.

Jack Dunstan, Mike's son, said:
"When the idea of a Legends vs Supporters match was presented to me, I thought it was a great idea but being asked if it could be in honour of Dad was amazing and I couldn't have accepted quick enough. Doing a great event for a charity close to the family also means a lot to us but is unsurprising as everyone knows just how great the Club and Supporters Trust are when it comes to organising these wonderful ideas."

Robin Mogg, Supporters Trust Chairman, said:

It's hard to put into words just how much Mike meant to the club, and how much the club meant to Mike. He was a wonderful person who loved the club and worked tirelessly for it, and we are honoured to be able to arrange this event in his memory."
