The Trust is delighted to share the survey results showing
the views and opinions of Gloucester City fans on issues relating to their
matchday experiences and the football club identity. The online survey was
conducted during the last weeks of March with the help of the national Football Supporters Association.
Robin Mogg, Chairman of the Gloucester City Supporters
Trust, said:
“The Trust Board would like to thank all the City fans who took the
time to respond to our survey. The numbers taking part show the enthusiasm
supporters have for our football club and a desire to have their voices heard
in the way it is run. We’ll be considering their views very carefully in
shaping how the Trust itself operates, and also make sure the football club clearly
hears the opinions and priorities of the supporters in the months ahead.”
The Trust survey is the most detailed testing of fan opinion at Gloucester City and with more than 40% of this season’s average home attendance responding it gives us a meaningful sample size to consider. The data will prove invaluable to the Trust in deciding priorities for our own work and fundraising over the next few years, and guide how we improve communication with members and the wider supporter community.
The Trust Board will now carefully consider and analyse the
survey data and present more detail on a planned future approach to Trust
members for discussion and their approval at the summer Annual General Meeting.
The survey data will also be shared with Patrick and Nicky
Chambers ahead of them taking over the running Gloucester City FC next season.
The Trust looks forward to discussing the full findings with them and together
developing ideas to improve the matchday experience at the TigerTurf Stadium,
and strengthening fan identification and involvement with the football club
itself.
