Trust Board Meet with New Club Owners

28 February 2023

Members of the Supporters Trust Board were very pleased to be given the opportunity to meet with Patrick and Nicky Chambers at Meadow Park yesterday evening. The meeting was a first chance to chat over their plans for the future of Gloucester City AFC once they take ownership of the club at the end of this season. A productive and wide ranging discussion saw a number of issues raised and ideas discussed.

Robin Mogg, Chairman of the Trust, said:

This was really an introductory meeting to welcome Patrick and Nicky to the club and hear about their plans for the future. It was a chance for us at the Trust to share some of our own suggestions and the issues that fans have raised with us in recent months. I think this was a very constructive first conversation. We're all looking forward to being able to plan for next season and working together to introduce some positive changes in how the football club operates in the years ahead."

Amongst the areas discussed were:

  • the future relationship between fans, the Supporters Trust and the Football Club;

  • club communication and how fans can be helped to feel appreciated;

  • the matchday experience and atmosphere;

  • stadium and facility improvements;

  • future aspirations on the field and promoting the football club within the city;

  • the club identity and building a closeness between the club's teams and community;

  • and what the fans and the Trust can offer over the coming seasons.

Having now opened a very encouraging dialogue with the new ownership the Trust looks forward to continuing these discussions and further details being shared with fans in the near future.
